Belmount is an author-driven production company in Berlin that focuses on developing feature films and series for the German and international markets. The founding of Belmount Media GmbH consolidates and professionalizes the production practice that founder and managing director Wolfram Fleischhauer has run since 2015.

In addition to his long-standing career as a conference interpreter for the European institutions (DE/EN/FR/ES), Wolfram Fleischhauer has published ten novels to date, selling more than 1,5 million copies and translated into more than 15 languages. In 2015, he began working as a screenwriter, financier, and co-producer. Since then, two feature films — Fikkefuchs (2017) and Schweigend steht der Wald (2022) — have been produced, each with festival premieres and international distribution. Currently in development are a TV series adaptation of his bestseller Das Meer and a film adaptation of his novel Drei Minuten mit der Wirklichkeit. Through Belmount Media GmbH, he is transforming his story development and production practice into an independent business structure, alongside his ongoing work as an author.

Belmount is a "development-first" production company: projects are carefully developed until they are market-ready, then brought to life in collaboration with experienced production partners. Belmount invests resources upfront during the development phase and only approaches production partners and funders with fully developed, market-ready projects. A key pillar of the company is the film adaptation of Wolfram Fleischhauer's existing and future works as a bestselling author; alongside this, Belmount also develops original material together with other writers.
